Torrents Defense Support’s Carbon Footprint Verified by AENOR

Torrents Defense Support's 2025 Carbon Footprint Independently Verified by AENOR

The verification of our greenhouse gas emissions inventory in accordance with the GHG Protocol marks another step forward in our commitment to continuous improvement and environmental responsibility.

At Torrents Defense Support, we believe that operating in an industrial environment also means taking responsibility for understanding and managing our environmental impact.

Our operations are based in the Los Vélez region, an area of exceptional natural value closely connected to Sierra de María–Los Vélez Natural Park. This landscape is part of our identity and our history as a company. Continuing to grow here also means being committed to its preservation.

For us, sustainability is therefore not a standalone initiative, but a responsibility we strive to integrate into our decisions, production processes, and approach to business development.

As part of this commitment, our 2025 carbon footprint has been successfully verified by AENOR in accordance with the GHG Protocol, an internationally recognized standard for greenhouse gas accounting and reporting.

Measure to Understand. Understand to Improve.

Calculating our carbon footprint allows us to identify and quantify the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our operations.

Para ello, analizamos tanto las emisiones directas derivadas de nuestras operaciones como las emisiones indirectas relacionadas con el consumo de electricidad.

Having this information independently verified provides us with a reliable baseline for better understanding our environmental impact and guiding our improvement efforts.

2025 marks our first verified carbon footprint reporting year. This baseline will allow us to monitor changes over time, identify opportunities to reduce emissions, and assess the effectiveness of the measures we implement.

Because managing our environmental impact responsibly requires more than good intentions. It calls for reliable information, ongoing monitoring, and a consistent commitment to improvement.

A Commitment Reflected in Our Daily Operations

Monitoring our carbon footprint is part of a broader environmental policy, reflected in different initiatives involving our processes, facilities, and use of resources.

Investing in modern machinery and new technologies allows us to continue optimizing our production processes, making better use of materials, and reducing waste generation.

We are also committed to using solar energy for self-consumption through our photovoltaic installations, while prioritizing electric equipment over fossil fuel-powered alternatives whenever feasible.

These measures are complemented by responsible waste management and the continuous identification of opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

They all reflect the same approach: reviewing our processes, making better use of resources, and moving toward an increasingly efficient and responsible industrial model.

A Starting Point for Continued Progress

The verification of our carbon footprint does not mark the end of a process. Rather, it provides a tool to support ongoing improvement.

Having independently verified information will allow us to assess our

progress in the coming years, guide further emission reduction initiatives, and consider future carbon offsetting measures as part of our environmental strategy.

We believe that industrial growth and environmental protection must go hand in hand. That is why we continue working to integrate sustainability considerations into our decisions and strengthen a company culture built on responsibility and continuous improvement.

We want to continue growing in Los Vélez, creating economic activity and employment while remaining mindful of our responsibility toward the region we call home.

The verification of our 2025 carbon footprint is another step in that ongoing commitment.
